Help Jayden get to America to play in the AAU Tournament
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jayden, I am 17 years old and my goal since I was little was to play professional basketball. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to go to America to play in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) tournament trails through AUSA Hoops an Australian-based basketball program, this will allow me to gain further skills and experience in basketball and possibly play for College Basketball in America.
The proposed tour dates for this tournament in America are from Saturday 3rd May to 21st May 2025, unfortunately I do not have the funds available to make this dream a reality - this wonderful opportunity will cost approx. $15,000, which includes $8,950 in registration fees that need to be paid as soon as possible to secure my spot. The remainder of the funding goes towards flights, insurance and living expenses whilst on tour.
My basketball journey to date is as follows:
- 2019 - 2022 - I received a scholarship to attend Churchie in Brisbane in which I played B Grade Basketball in Year 7 and then moved up to A Grade Basketball for Year 8 - 10.
- 2019 - 2022 - I also played for Spartan Rep Basketball Team - Year 7 I played in Division 3 and then in Year 8-10 I played in Division 2.
- 2023 - Year 11 - I played for Queensland Souths (National Indigenous Basketball Tournament NIBT) we came second in this QLD tournament.
- 2023 - I also played as a Rockhampton Basketball Rep Player "Jets Team" Division 2.
- 2024 - Year 12 - I played as a Rockhampton Basketball Rep Player "Rockets Team" Division 1.
- 2024 - I also played rep basketball for the Goondiwindi Gladiators Basketball Team we came first in the Best of the West tournament.
- 2025 - I would love my next step in basketball to be a representative as part of the AUSA Hoops and Australian-based basketball program and take part in the AAU Tournament Trails in America.
I know that times are tough, but if anyone can spare any funds no matter how big or small to help me reach my goals and dreams of becoming a professional basketball player in the future. I would be very grateful for the chance to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
