Marching with the Santa Clara Vanguard has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Last season, I discovered so much about who I am, what I’m capable of, and the true meaning of teamwork. I found a second family, learned to face my fears, and pushed myself both mentally and physically further than I ever thought possible. Our corps came back from an unexpected hiatus and placed among the top groups, and the following year, we fought hard and earned a spot on the podium. These achievements have only fueled my passion and determination to keep growing with this incredible group.

This upcoming season, I’m more motivated than ever to return and give everything I have. I’m working hard to raise funds to help cover tuition and make it possible for me to march again, continue learning, and contribute to the corps’ success. To me, being part of the Santa Clara Vanguard isn’t just about performing—it’s about family, building a home, and fighting for the best version of yourself. After this season, I’ll be taking a two-year break from drum corps, which makes this year’s journey with the Santa Clara Vanguard even more meaningful to me. I want to make the most of every moment with my drum corps family before returning for my final season in 2029.
