Support Jayden's Fight for Recovery

This is Jayden, he’s 12 years old and from Peoria, IL. He’s so full of life, lights up any room he walks into, he’s the ultimate jokester, the lovable boy, the caring brother, the baby of the family. He was recently shot 2 times outside of his home, he’s currently in the hospital. Jayden had to have immediate life-saving surgery, which he thankfully made it out of. He’s currently on a breathing machine which they’re hoping to take him off of soon. He is slowly improving but the bullets hit him in the stomach causing a ton of issues. Jayden will be in the hospital for at least a month, where he will undergo intensive treatment. The bullet went through his bowel and liver, the bullet split into 8 different pieces so he had 8 holes in his intestine. He moved his left leg to the reflex test but hasn’t responded with the right leg, they have to put rods in his spine. They’re watching for bile to make sure there’s none throughout his body. It’s incredibly serious.

Samantha, Jayden’s mother, needs to take time off of work to be with him during these crucial moments. Jayden has 3 other siblings that are all under the care of Sam.
