Hey! My name is Jayden Wagner, and I am raising money to go to the HOBY World Leadership Conference. HOBY is an organization dedicated to teaching the next generation of leaders to lead through service. Each state in the US and 15+ other countries have local seminars each year, with around 8,500 rising high school juniors attending seminars around the world. Last year was my ambassador year at Mississippi HOBY, and to say the experience was life-changing would be a disrespectful undersell. I learned to connect with people, to value community service, how to be an effective leader, and I made some of the most impactful friendships that I have ever had. This year, I went back to MS HOBY and volunteered so that I might help someone else have the HOBY experience I did. This year, I saw just that. I watched multiple kids go through the same life-altering experience I went through last year. The WLC is a one-week seminar in Chicago, IL that brings together 300+ students from over 15 countries to have a more involved, deeper experience than they had at their local seminar. I have many friends who went to WLC in past years whose testimonies from WLC I can only begin to comprehend. The cost of attendance for WLC is around $2,000, and travel expenses are estimated to be around $1,000. I know in my heart that this experience would be life-changing for me as it has been for thousands of other people, but I cannot get to WLC on my own. Today, I am asking for your help. Your contribution not only goes to my travel and cost of attendance but to my future. With your generosity, I have the opportunity to better myself as a student, friend, family member, and leader.
