Hello friends! Yesterday, my friend experienced something no parent would want. Her oldest son, Jayden, who has Down syndrome, jumped out the window when he was experiencing a difficult time. This led to a broken femur, and he needs emergency surgery. He is currently hospitalized and being transferred to Lebanon, NH for the surgery. Both parents can’t work right now because one needs to be at the hospital with him, and the other has to be home to care for the other children. Any help during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.

FAMILY UPDATE

Jayden had surgery finally last night, 3 days of being in the hospital and somehow he ended up with Covid. He was working hard to breathe before the surgery and required oxygen, so when he came out of surgery (which went great) he could not breathe on his own and they had to re-intubate him.. He’s been sedated over night and the machine is breathing for him. Hopefully it will give his body time to heal, and when his stats go back up they can ween him down and extubate him. For now, we just wait..
