My name is Jayde, and I’m reaching out to Go Fund Me as my last resort because I’ve run into a major issue with my car. Recently I noticed my steering wheel feeling loose, as well as making a clicking sound, which has made me really nervous while driving. I brought the car to the mechanic connected to my financing company, hoping my warranty would help. Unfortunately, because the car is older and has high mileage, the repair isn’t covered.

I’ve been told the rack and pinion needs to be replaced, and the lowest estimate I’ve received is $1,200. With the holidays, being a part time worker while full time in college, monthly bills, and the financial strain of losing my pet in October—including vet visits, medication, and cremation costs—I’ve been backed up with debts and struggling to catch up.

I have about two weeks to come up with the money. I normally would DoorDash beyond my working hours to earn extra income, but the dealership advised me not to drive the car excessively due to safety concerns. The money would be used to help me get the part I need to fix my vehicle, and safely travel back to and from work, school, and home! I’m trying my best, but I could really use some help getting through this unexpected setback.
