Help Jayde Dance in NYC's Alvin Ailey! Summer 2024

Hey everyone! I’m Jayde. You might know me from school or my dance recitals. I’m writing about something super special today, and I really hope you can help me out.

So, here’s the big news—I got into the Alvin Ailey Dance School's Summer Intensive in New York City! Remember when I tried out two years ago and didn’t make it? Well, I didn’t give up. I’ve been practicing a lot, and guess what? This year, they said YES! I'm so excited, I could dance all day!

But to make this happen, I need a bit of help. The fundraiser I’m starting is to cover all the important stuff: the tuition for the classes, staying on campus (which is super cool), and other necessary expenses that pop up when you’re living and learning in a big city.

Here’s the detailed breakdown of the funds I need to raise:

Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive Fee: $2,430

On Campus housing in NYC for 4 weeks: $2,445

Dance attire and travel essentials: $125

TOTAL NEEDED: $5,000

I promise to make the most of every single moment, learn as much as I can, and bring back all the cool stuff to share with you all. It’s going to be a summer I’ll never forget, and I really hope you can be a part of making it happen.
