Help Support Jayda — A Truly Kind Child Fighting a Cancerous Brain Tumor
When my family and I moved from Mexico to San Diego, my son started 1st grade without knowing a single word of English. He often found himself alone at recess and in class simply because he couldn’t communicate with the other kids.
But one child noticed him.
Jayda saw a little boy sitting by himself and chose kindness. She reached out, befriended him, and helped him feel included when he needed it most. She introduced him to her friends, helped him integrate into the class, and showed a level of compassion far beyond her years.
Kids can be kind, but Jayda’s kindness is something rare.
Today, this same extraordinary little girl is facing something no child should ever have to battle. Jayda has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. Through no fault of her own, she and her family are now navigating an incredibly painful and overwhelming journey — emotionally, physically, and financially.
Jayda does not deserve this fight.
Her family does not deserve this fear.
And while we can’t take away the illness, we can help lighten the enormous burden they are carrying.
