My name is Cynthia, and I am raising funds for my family, especially my daughter Jay'cee. Jay'cee is an 11-year-old girl who was born with a rare birth defect called Gastroschisis. Over the years, we have traveled to doctors all over Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas, searching for answers and relief for her condition. Unfortunately, in the past eight months, Jay'cee's health has continued to decline. She lives in severe pain every day and has lost much of her quality of life. The child who was once the happiest, most outgoing, and active is now struggling to stay awake and complete even the simplest daily tasks. She has not been able to attend school since September 26, 2025, and has lost her ability to play sports, dance, and cheer, as well as play with her sisters as she once did. Jay'cee is now on a complete liquid diet, and our family is anxiously waiting for Cincinnati Children's Hospital to get back to us so we can schedule her arrival. Cincinnati is the best place for Jay'cee, as they have the resources and equipment to help us find the answers we need to get our girl back to herself. This journey is not easy, and the financial strain is growing. I have already missed a lot of work and will continue to miss more as I need to be with Jay'cee during this critical time. The funds raised will go directly to helping us get Jay'cee to Cincinnati, covering anything she may need along the way, and supporting our family with regular bills while I am out of work. We will be driving from Lafayette, LA to Cincinnati, OH, as this is the safest way for Jay'cee to travel and avoid the risk of illness from airports. This is a very uncertain time for our family, but we are doing everything we can to get Jay'cee feeling better. We are asking for your support to help us through this journey and to give Jay'cee the best chance at recovery. Any help you can provide means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.
