Hi all. My name is Joe. I am retired from FDNY as a Paramedic after almost 30 years. It didn’t take me long to miss working again, especially after the family atmosphere I had at FDNY.

I found a job I love with a “family” I adore. The patriarch of our “family” needs some help.

Jay from our Lowe’s Pro Desk in Holmdel, NJ is facing some serious medical condition that will put him out of commission for quite some time. Jay has dedicated well over 25 years to Lowe's and the community, often volunteering his time to help people.

I’ve watched this man load his own car to be sure his customer gets what they need, when they need it. He’s always willing to share his experiences and expertise (sometimes whether you want it or not) and always makes himself available.

He is the proudest Husband, Father, and Grandfather anyone could ever meet. You just know his family is his world. I personally feel blessed that I get to call this man a friend and since I went through a similar situation, I know the money will help ease the stress to him and his family.

I’m too old for him to be my father, but I look up to him as one and hope that my exposure to him continues to make me a better man.
