My brother, Jay Cissell, has faced a long and difficult battle with addiction and depression. These struggles have left him unhoused and alone in Southern California, far from the support of our family. In March 2026, Jay made the courageous decision to enter rehab and fight for his health and future. I live in North Carolina, and I’ve been doing everything I can to support my brother and help him find hope again.
Jay’s journey has not been easy. This year, he reached a point where he felt utterly hopeless and was ready to give up. The urgency to help him is very real—I'm determined to give my brother a lifeline and a chance to rebuild his life. We are making arrangements for him to move halfway across the country to live with family once he is released from rehab. This transition is a huge step toward stability, but it comes with significant costs. Jay will need help with moving and travel expenses, past-due rent, basic needs, and food—essentials that will give him the foundation to rebuild his life, regain his sense of purpose, and find his crazy-bright smile again.
My goal is to help my brother get back on his feet before it’s too late, and I can’t do it alone. Any support you can give will make a real difference to help Jay begin a new chapter. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help us during this critical time. Thank you for being part of our journey toward healing and hope.
