HELP JAY REBUILD; HE LOST EVERYTHING… AGAIN!!!

We are the staff of the emergency department at the Montreal General Hospital. Our beloved nursing colleague, Jay & his family need our help.

Please help us get Jay back on his feet again.

In July of 2023, Jay’s family home was completely flooded. Jay, his wife, stepson, and toddler had to move out for the massive reconstruction of their home. They lost over $100,000 and insurance only paid $6,000. They had to live in Air B&Bs for months, out of suitcases and boxes. Finally, in March 2024, after having to buy all new furniture, they were able to move back into their home again.

Hurricane Debbie hit Montreal on August 5, 2024, with torrential flooding, over 145mm of rain in 24 hours. Jay’s family home flooded AGAIN, they have lost everything… AGAIN! The whole family is completely traumatized, no one is sleeping, and they were still exhausted from the experience of the first flood. Now they have to live through this horrific nightmare again, after finally just getting some sort of normalcy back in their lives. They lost EVERYTHING… AGAIN!

Jay and his young family need our help and support. Please give what you can to help them. Jay is too proud to ask for help, he is such a fantastic nurse, person and colleague; we owe it to Jay to be there for him in his time of need. Our goal ideally would be $10 000- $15 000 Every penny will go to Jay and his family.
