My name is Jay and I've finally been approved for a hysterectomy! For two decades, I've spent a week each month in unbearable pain due to my cycle. Doctors told me I couldn't remove my uterus because of my age, gender presentation, and lack of a husband to approve of me not having children before 35. The gender dysphoria and body horror I've experienced led me to some dark places but I survived. I am grateful to still be here today because I finally met a surgeon who takes my pain seriously. They discovered a tumor the size of a grapefruit in my uterus and set a rush surgery date for mid-November. To prepare for this and the upcoming six-week recovery period, I'm raising funds to:
