My name is Jay, I'm an 18 year old art student at the University of Hartford, and I'm a crutch user due to nerve problems that greatly impact my balance and stability. I've been using a pair of cheap crutches, which were the first ones I could afford. While they're better than having nothing to keep me up at all, the handles are hard plastic, they have a loud metal clunk every step I take, their rigidity has put an awful amount of strain on my wrists, and I've developed a bit of scar tissue along my forearms as a result. Recently, one of them wore down to the metal and literally fell apart, so I've been borrowing a pair from my friend. I plan on buying a new pair from CoolCrutches, which costs around $310. I've tested a few different brands, and theirs have proven to be the most comfortable.
