Help Jaxson Access Life-Changing Treatment
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jaxson. I was born 2 1/2 months early, weighing less than 3 pounds and small enough to fit in the palm of one hand. I spent the first 76 days of my life in the NICU, facing some pretty tough challenges. I have hydrocephalus and I’ve had four brain surgeries to keep it under control. I am prone to seizures, have cerebral palsy, and I’m nonverbal. All of my meals and medications are taken through an NG tube. I get around in a wheelchair with round the clock care from my parents. Through it all, I remain one of the happiest and most vibrant little souls you’ll ever meet.
I love books and have a strong curiosity about the world around me. My favorite word is “Hi,” and I never fail to greet someone with my infectious smile. I have the best sense of humor and the most contagious laugh—it’s truly a sound you can’t help but love.
I need your help. Mom and dad found the most incredible treatment that has become available to me. This 28 day treatment gives my brain a chance to heal and activate neurons that will change life as I know it. This is done with a cytotron, similar to an MRI machine. Eating, talking, gaining controlled movement in my arms and legs are all on the table. Even the possibility of moving on my own in a motorized wheelchair. Mom and dad are making bets whose name I will say first. Don’t tell mom, but it’s her!
The cost of the treatment is more they can manage on their own, but I know our family and friends extend beyond these four walls and the state of Oklahoma. Your donation will help me receive this life-changing treatment, giving me the chance to continue growing, learning, and thriving. Thank you for supporting us on this journey and helping me continue to live life to the fullest!
Cousin Casey put together this gofundme on behalf of Jaxson, his mom Janet and his dad Brady.
