My name is Danielle and I’d like to start by saying this is not like me to make one of these, especially for something like this. I HATE asking for help. However, I’m making this for my sister, Jessica and her dog/best friend Jaxsen, hoping to relieve even a little financial stress. Her dog Jaxsen has been very sick with low platelets, needing meds and careful monitoring a month or so ago. My sister maxed out her care credit with these costs and also paid a lot out of pocket.

Now, he hasn’t eaten in 3-4 days and can’t keep anything down when he tries. Vomiting and diarrhea. She started him on a bland diet. He can’t keep even eggs and white rice down. Her vet took him today for emergency visit. They wanted to do bloodwork because of his past ITP issues with his blood cells….they wanted to make sure it was nothing to do with that. They ended up doing an ultrasound on his belly and then did an x-ray. Results showed a foreign object , what looks like metal as well as another foreign object. Her vet said he will need surgery at this point because he isn’t going to pass it. If she doesn’t get him this surgery, he will continue to not eat, drink, continue vomiting and could pass away.

Her vet called several vets in area and they are quoting her 8-10K for surgery. They sent her to angell in Boston where they may provide some financial assistance.

So here we are. Maybe no one will donate, and that’s ok, but worth the try do an amazing dog. He’s the friendliest, sweetest, biggest baby and he deserves a chance.
