Help Jaxon MacGillivary reclaim her life from Lymphoma

Hi. I'm Monica Barnes and I'm fundraising for my daughter's childhood friend, Jaxon MacGillivary. Many of you may know this lovely 21 year old as she's a lifelong resident of Chestermere. I first met Jaxon when she was in kindergarten. I've known her to be a thoughtful, funny, compassionate, shy, hardworking friend to my daughter.

Jaxon worked hard to pursue her passion – caring for animals. She was in the last semester of the Animal Health Technician Program at Olds College when she was diagnosed with lymphoma. It broke her heart to have to leave her studies when she was so close to finishing, and she is anxious to return and graduate once her treatment is complete.

Jaxon has held a job since she was 13 years old. She was paying her own way through post secondary schooling. Despite sometimes extraordinary discomfort, Jaxon is enduring chemotherapy like a trooper. I am appealing to you all to extend her any support you can while she’s unable to work. As any of us with young adult children can attest, expenses add up quickly. My fondest hope is that Jaxon can focus her energy on fighting this cancer without worrying about finances, and return to her studies without daunting debt.

Financial donations will go directly to Jaxon for the expenses she’s always covered, such as her cell phone, car and insurance as well as living expenses when she returns to her studies in Olds.
