Hi everyone,
This is Jaxon, our sweet 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix. He may be small, but he has the biggest heart—unfortunately, that heart is in trouble.
Jaxon has been diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis and secondary heart enlargement, a life-threatening congenital defect. Without surgery, Jaxon will soon go into heart failure. But there’s hope—with surgery, he has a real chance at a long, happy life.
Unfortunately, this critical procedure, called a balloon valvuloplasty (and possible stent), isn’t available in Hawaii, so we must fly Jaxon to UC Davis on the mainland, where specialists can perform the surgery he urgently needs.
Estimated costs:
Surgery at UC Davis: $8,500
Pre-op testing & exams: $1,000
Travel & required documentation: $2,000
Total: $11,500
We’re doing everything we can, applying for grants, getting pet insurance (that won't cover his condition), and have already been putting funds aside, but we can’t do this alone. Jaxon is a joyful, affectionate pup who brings so much happiness into our lives. With your support, we can give him the chance he deserves—to grow up, play, and live the full life every dog should.
Any donation helps, and if you can’t give, please consider sharing this campaign. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
