Help JaxMoo - FeLV diagnosis

Donation protected
I’m reaching out because my beloved cat, JaxMoo, who is just 3 years old, has been diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). As my first pet, JaxMoo holds an incredibly special place in my heart—he’s not just a pet, he’s like a child to me. Ever since he has been under my care we have been together almost every day. We love to chat about the birds and cuddle. JaxMoo's favorite food is watermelon and he loves chin pets.

I have never had a connection with an animal the way I do JaxMoo. I love him deeply, and I will do everything I can to make sure he gets the care he needs.

FIV is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, leaving them more vulnerable to infections. In North America, about 2.5-5% of healthy cats are diagnosed with FIV. While it’s manageable, it requires ongoing care and treatment, and the veterinary costs can be significant.

Right now, JaxMoo is in the hospital, and I’m doing everything I can to help him healthy again. While my family and friends have rallied to assist with medical bills, they can only do so much. The funds raised will go towards his current medical bills, necessary treatments for FIV, and a pet insurance plan to ensure he gets the care he needs moving forward.

If you are able to donate, even a dollar we would be very grateful. I just want to make sure JaxMoo has the best chance at a long and healthy life, so I am taking a shot to give him that chance.

UPDATE 1/9/25:
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DONATIONS!!!

JaxMoo has been hospitalized since Monday evening. An hour after being in the ER the vet called to inform me that he is FIV positive along with his current Pneumonia. It is $1,200 dollars per day and we have already spent $5,000 with the inital costs that came with his condition and the state his was in upon arrival. JaxMoo is showing signs of improvement; slowly. Because of his FIV it will take a bit longer for him to recover. He has gained a pound, is interested in food (but still isnt really eating), wanted pets, cuddles, and is regaining his chatterbox personality. He still needs time to recover from his pneumonia. My sister and I were able to visit him for 2 hours today and got to show him some love. We appreciate ALL of your thoughts/prayers/shares/donations. I will continue to try and update you when I can. He needs to spend atleast another night in the hospital.
