Hello my name is Darryus Jackson I’m from Atlanta GA. On September 4th 2022 my life changed. It was a lovely night I just left my mom house when I was driving on 75South home and I seen an older lady and 2 individuals in a car have a single car accident. I was thinking should I stop or not. And of course I did. Well once I pulled over and as I got out my vehicle and walked towards her vehicle to see if she was alright and a man not paying attention driving a truck hit us. I mean he hit me so hard that my body flew into the air and I landed on the opposite side of expressway 75 North.. I thought I was gonna loose my life. While laying on the ground I tried to get up and walk and realized my leg was gone.. with me laying on the ground for so long I caught an infection in my leg and I had to have an AKA ( Above Knee Amputation).. I was just trying to help and now I’m the one who needs help. Medical bills transportation and health care equipment (prosthetic legs ) are expensive.
