My name is Jessica, and I’m raising funds for my puppy, Ja’Vonate. He’s a 5-month-old pit bull mix who was found abandoned by a dumpster, nearly skin and bones. When I adopted him, I never imagined how deeply we would connect. I’ve worked hard to restore his health—his coat is shiny again, and he’s finally at a healthy weight. Ja’Vonate is the sweetest companion, always craving cuddles and affection. He’s become my family, and I can’t imagine life without him.

Unfortunately, I’m a college student managing bills mostly on my own, without much help from my parents. I recently won a court case against my previous apartment, but they have refused to return my money for over four months. This unexpected financial setback has made it difficult to provide for Ja’Vonate while I juggle school and living expenses. I’ve been able to care for him until now, but I’m heartbroken at the thought of having to give him up because of money.

Ja’Vonate still needs several vaccinations and medicines, especially since he’s a puppy who had such a rough start. He’s also in his teething phase and needs toys to keep him happy and healthy. As he grows, he goes through food quickly, and keeping up with his needs has become overwhelming. I want to help him the way I wish someone helped me.
