A community of hope and support for Javier Martinez and his family.
Our family is reaching out for hope and support in a time of dire need and tragedy. Our beloved husband and father, Javier Martinez, suffered a devastating brain bleed from a ruptured aneurysm on September 8, 2025. He was rushed to the ICU and has been in the JCMC medical ICU ever since. His condition continues to worsen, and he remains in a coma and on a ventilator, fighting an overwhelming brain infection.
ou family have lived in Jersey City for 22 years. The family has 6 children, 5 boys and 1 daughter - Derrick, Ronny, Jeyren, Xavier, Neymar, and Isabella. The oldest 3 boys are in college, Xavier is a junior at Lincoln High School, and the youngest 2, Neymar and Isabella, are in 8th and 7th grades at the Learning Community Charter School. The whole family lives at home on the West Side of Jersey City.
Javier has been an incredible provider, working long hours as a cook in a large restaurant in Manhattan. Alejandra works 2 jobs cleaning to help make ends meet. Together, they have raised an incredibly close and loving family. Javier has been the best dad and husband - he is affectionate, generous, joyful, charismatic, and loving. Seeing him suffer with such a serious health condition, fighting for survival, has been heartbreaking. Alejandra spends her days at the hospital, and her nights working. Despite the exhaustion, no one can sleep, filled with worry and grief.
Our family had just started to gain our footing again after a fire that destroyed our apartment and all of our belongings 2 years ago. We rebuilt a life, working so hard together. Now, we are facing the worst possible tragedy, and we worry about losing everything again.
This will be a long journey for us, and we desperately need the support of our family, friends, and community. Funds will be used for medical bills, rent, and basic needs. Please help us to make it through this incredibly difficult time, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
muchas gracias
