We are reaching out during the most difficult and unexpected time in our lives. Javier, my son, recently had to undergo emergency eye surgery, something no parent ever anticipates so suddenly. This situation came without warning, there was no time to plan or prepare and our main focus was making sure he received the immediate care he needed, one moment things were normal, and the next we were in a situation where we had to act fast to protect his vision and his future. Thankfully, he was able to get the surgery in time. but the reality is that the cost of this emergency procedure, along with ongoing medical care and follow up appointments, has placed a significant strain on our family.
