Hello, I am here to tell you about my husband Jassen. It started in March of 2022, he had multiple MR’s and CT scans…. They thought he was having a stroke at first or had Bells Palsy ….. then when they dug deeper into it they learned it wasn’t a stroke or Bell’s palsy….. we have seen doctors from Florida at the Mayo Clinic to Oklahoma and Dallas……. They put in a pain pump in November of 2023….. then they did a balloon rhizotomy in July 2024….. then they did the gamma knife surgery in October 2024….. then they did another balloon rhizotomy July 2025 ….. all with hospital stays in between these times…… the disease is progressing as shown on MRI’s it affects his whole right side of his body…. He can’t open his eye, can talk but slurs, and it’s getting harder for him to walk. As a matter of fact he fell the other day…. And he’s been having to use a walker to get around. He can’t see out of his right eye. He used to work a full time job, play with their grandkids and live a full happy life but now due to the diseases he is very limited to what he can do. He hasn’t been able to work in almost two years, his wife Kristi was a teachers aide but she lost her job this year due to having to be with Jassen and take him to Dr appts, surgeries, etc. she has since picked up some odd jobs to help make ends meet but it’s such a struggle esp now since the Drs want to do a very dangerous surgery on his brain to “disturb” the nerve in his brain and take a biopsy to try and relieve some of his horrid pain that he goes through daily. At this point it’s the only thing the drs haven’t tried that prayerfully will work. So with this being said the Dr want to do the surgery between now and Christmas and they will be at the hospital for two weeks and then recovery time at home. Kristi will be with him and they will need money to help with food, gas, medical bills, plus the regular monthly bills that they will have at home.
