Help Jasper Overcome GI Challenges

Donation protected
Update 07/21/2025 Jasper is still weak and has a lot going on. He managed to get to the DMV this morning to get his permit and went back home and was wiped. On that note Jasper has a follow with an ultrasound tomorrow in Jacksonville. He currently still has 3 drains in his abdomen, his appendicostomy site tube and also a PICC line. I have to administer IV Antibiotics every 6 hours around the clock, always changing and dressing the drains and tube. All while trying to work while we are home so that Bills don’t get behind. Needless to say not only is Jasper still wiped but so is momma. We have to go to Gainesville once a week for PICC line dressing changes and next weeks worth of antibiotics. God is getting us through and we appreciate everyone who has been there by prayers, donations, or just a simple call or text of how are you holding up.
Update 07/06/2025: Jasper was readmitted in 07/03/2025 when we went back for a check on the previous drains and surgery from 06/20. We had been home for 6 days and this was just suppose to be a follow up with his surgeon. We did an ultrasound and they sent us urgently to the ER and was in surgery within a few hours for yet another puss pocket that formed. He has had a rough few days and his body is fighting with all it has to heal. They put an PICC line in this time when they did surgery as we have a long road ahead with IV antibiotics even after we are discharged when they feel he is good enough to go home again with home health for IV antibiotics around the clock every 6 hours. We have had a few set back this hospital trip but keep pushing forward.
thank you for all the prayers and donations.
Update 06/20/25 Jasper had surgery this morning and the abscess was worse than expected. He now has a drain in for the abscess and they also had to replace the tube that we use for his GI flushes . We are not sure yet when we will be getting out of the hospital. We still have a long road to go with many more appointments. I thank God he has brought us the amazing surgeons and nurses that we have up here God is for sure keeping his hand in all this.
Update 06/19/25: We had our one month follow up on Tuesday June 17th, 2025. Jasper has had cellulitis in the site for one a week at this point but on antibiotics. The antibiotics were not working we evened up in a STAT ultrasound which in turn landed us back in the hospital in Jacksonville. He has been on antibiotics and it is not getting any better. Today Thursday June 19th the doctors from the surgery team came in and since the area is harder today then it was on Tuesday they did another ultrasound. This one showed that a deep abscess has formed now and we have to do surgery tomorrow morning.
I have been out of work all this week with No PTO so I will not be getting paid but I am on FMLA. We appreciate all your prayers and support so far!

04/22 Update: We’re back home after Jasper’s second biopsy procedure today. Two samples were taken, and now we wait for the results. Jasper is experiencing some discomfort this time, as the biopsies were taken rectally.
From here, we begin preparing for the main surgery in the coming weeks. Once the biopsy results are in, the doctor will go over them with us and help determine the full extent of what the surgery will involve. We do know that it will require a significant hospital stay at Jacksonville Children’s Hospital.

As many of you know, Jasper has struggled with gastrointestinal issues since he was a baby. We’re grateful to finally have some answers — we’ve identified the root of the problem and have found an incredible doctor in Jacksonville who is guiding us through the next steps. So far, Jasper has had two appointments and a biopsy, and another biopsy is scheduled for April 22nd.
Following this, he will undergo a major procedure that is expected to significantly improve his GI issues. This surgery will likely reduce hospital admissions and lessen his reliance on many of the medications he's been on for so long — a huge step forward for his health and quality of life.
That said, the frequent appointments, procedures, travel, and hospital stays over the next month and a half have put a financial strain on us. If you feel led to support us during this time, we would deeply appreciate any help. Of course, there is absolutely no obligation — your prayers, love, and encouragement mean the world to us.
If you’d like to make a donation but prefer not to use GoFundMe, please feel free to reach out to me, PJ, Jason, Janci or any of our immediate family members — we have other options available.
Thank you all for your continued support and prayers as we walk this journey with Jasper.
