My name is Francisco and I’m 25. I just moved from California to Houston, Texas to move in with my boyfriend named Jasper. It’s only been a few days, close to a week, and my boyfriend has been showing signs of pain, coughing, wheezing, throwing up, and having restless nights. I decided to take him to Baytown Methodist in Harris County, and after a bunch of painstakingly long hours and tests in the hospital, the doctor told me my boyfriend had something called Lymphoma (which is a rare immune disorder that causes lymph nodes to enlarge and can lead to a range of symptoms and lab abnormalities. It's characterized by cell overgrowth in the lymph nodes, which are part of the immune system and help fight infection). Surgeries will be required to remove the lymph nodes. Of course, me being his boyfriend, I was beyond heartbroken and bawling my eyes out. He’s 25 like me; his birthday was in June and sadly he doesn’t have insurance. I am currently looking for a job to help with costs, but right now I’m just trying to cope with the stress of learning about this situation. I really do love him with all my life and I want to see him succeed and power through this. Unfortunately, there is gonna need surgery soon and they have scheduled him for a biopsy tomorrow night. He is staying at St. Luke’s Medical Centre in downtown Houston. I’m looking to anyone who is willing to donate to help me in my time of need and to more specifically help my boyfriend with his surgery bills. I don’t ask for much, but when you’re looking for a job after moving states and one doesn’t have insurance, it’s just too much to stress about.
