Help Jason’s parents rebuild after flood

Hello, my name is Jason. My parents, who live in Bath, NY, recently lost their home in the flooding caused by Tropical Storm Debby on 8-9-2024. My parents are hard working people who have always tried to help people in any way they can. Right now in their late 50’s and 60’s they should be enjoying life, but now they have to completely rebuild. They just recently finished rebuilding from flooding that occurred two years ago. They have spent everything they had to rebuild because insurance wouldn’t cover it. Their homeowners insurance has already denied their claim. They likely will not be getting any assistance because where they live is not considered part of the disaster area. For the time being they are living in their camper with their dog, but that is not very feasible come winter.

My father has always helped by letting people use his garage and tools and teaching younger generations how to work on cars. He has also taught many how to do construction and work with their hands. He is a hard working man that has too much pride to ask for help, so here I am asking for him.

My mother has always been the family backbone, she has been the “Mother/grandmother” to so many friends. She works for the ARC and does a small side printing business for additional income. She has helped local youth organizations by printing jerseys and T-shirts at low cost to help clubs afford it. My mother has always been a giving person and has never asked for anything in return.

All the donations given will go to help them rebuild and give them a place to stay while rebuilding. I know whatever they can raise on here wouldn’t be enough to completely rebuild but it would be a start.
