Help Jason’s fight against Cancer

Hi everyone. My name is Rosemary and I’m creating this gofundme page on behalf of my brother Jason Romero and my Romero family.

Jason has struggled with drug addiction for many years in which he was in and out of jail.

Through the Grace of GOD Jason has changed his life by checking in at a Teen Challenge and has been sober ever since September of 2018. Jason graduated from Teen Challenge program in June 2020. Jason’s desire and calling is to help others with drug and alcohol addiction so he decided to attend Teen Challenge ministry institute and graduated in December 2021. Again by the Grace of GOD Jason was Hired at Central Valley Teen Challenge in January 2022 as a Teacher/Adviser. As an advisor Jason helps men who come from addictions become followers of Jesus Christ, he also teaches classes that help men understand the gospel and Christian living.

Jason was diagnosed in early December with tongue cancer. He Will have surgery on January 6th which involves parts of his tongue being removed (removal of all cancer spots) then surgeons will remove some skin from his leg to have reconstructive surgery on his tongue with a flap. This will be a very long surgery, thus he will have to be in the hospital anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Surgery will take place in Santa Clara, CA.

Aftercare will be a feeding tube for a month, Radiation therapy and speech therapy.

All though this can be a slow process to recovery, we are believing in complete healing and a smooth recovery for Jason.

What Jason needs most right now is prayer. So please, first and foremost pray for Jason, Olga ( Jason’s Mom)and all Romero family.

Keep in mind surgery will have to be miles away from home which requires some family members to stay with Jason to lift him up, encourage and pray with Jason.

Hospital stays, treatments, and loss of wages can be a financial hardship.
