Hello, my name is Korina Martinez, I am writing on behalf of husband during this time of need. Jason has been blindsided by a head injury he sustained at work. As a result, he is suffering from swelling in the brain due to a tumor/cyst growing bigger than a golf ball. He’s having brain seizures, mini strokes, numbness- weakness- tingling all over his body and his body was shutting down. He will be receiving emergency surgery on Monday, May 20th.

He is admitted to the ER right now in Loma Linda. This bomb of info was dropped on us by his neurosurgeon to get to the ER asap, on Thursday. Our family of 5 is almost 2 hrs away from home and had no where to stay. We need assistance with groceries, gas, housing, baby food, clothing items and outpatient care.

His surgery is extremely high risk, due to the area of where he’s going to need the operation. Infection, swelling and spinal leak can highly occur after his procedure. So surgeons need to keep a close on his him post op to make sure this doesn’t occur. Outpatient care is going to be critical and we need to stay in the area because he is going to need physical therapy and occupational therapy in a rehab facility . We may need to stay for possibly 3 weeks.

I need to stay by Jason’s side to continuously explain to drs and nurses how his symptoms are continuously worsening, due to Jason being a bit disoriented and memory issues. We are urgently asking for help for these expenses. We have twin 18 month old toddlers and a 14 year who need care while we are in the hospital. Family members are helping out as much as they can, but at the time we need a tribe.

We have exhausted all our resources and this is currently our last resource for help.
