Jason’s Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Jason Gladden is well known throughout Collinsville, Alabama, as the proud owner of Paradise Grill and now the co-owner with Andrew Angles of Cafe 11. Jason has such a big heart for his family, his friends, and his community. He is always seen with a smile on his face and always willing to share a positive word with you.
Tuesday, September 24th, will be a day that we, as Jason’s family, will never forget. Jason went to the local emergency room for what was assumed to be a migraine headache. Testing revealed a large mass on his brain, so he was transferred to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the tumor was removed the following day. The day after surgery, the news came back that Jason’s tumor was malignant.
Cancer! Not what we were praying for but Jason’s new reality. Glioblastoma, to be exact. This is the worst type of brain cancer that there is with a grim prognosis. Glioboastoma has no cure, it is a fatal diagnosis and Jason’s physicians have given him 1-2 years to live. His physicians are hopeful that with chemo and radiation, they may be able to buy him a few more months or hopefully even years with his family.
Jason is young, strong, and full of faith in God. He plans to fight this with all that he has to give. Due to him being a business owner, he has not taken out health insurance benefits on himself. He has applied for benefits to help get him through this, but that could take months to approve. If you find it in your heart to be able to donate to help Jason be able to get through this difficult time, it will be very much appreciated. If you are not financially able to donate, please pray for Jason and his family. Prayers most definitely are appreciated and needed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and please share!
