Help Jason Wilkins Recover and Heal
Donation protected
On June 27, 2025, I was involved in an accident with a hydraulic wood splitter that resulted in the partial amputation of my index finger. I now have only half of the finger remaining. This injury happened at a particularly difficult time—I’m currently out of work, and the savings I had set aside have very nearly run out.
To make matters worse, we have had a previous injury, sick animals (all within the last 3 months), and our oldest cat passed away just a week before this accident, adding emotional strain to an already emotional situation.
I have some work lined up in the near future and have been working hard to get my woodworking business off the ground. But right now, I’m facing a growing stack of medical bills—hospital, ambulance, surgery, medication, and post-op care—and I don’t have insurance to help cover any of it. On top of that, regular bills keep coming, and I’m doing my best to stay afloat.
It’s hard for me to ask for help like this. I haven’t had to ask for this type in over 20 years, and I don’t take it lightly. But at this moment, I truly don’t know what else to do. I work with my hands, so I can’t do much for a little while.
If you’re able to contribute even $1 or $5, it would go a long way toward helping me manage this situation. I’m also keeping track of every donation, and I fully intend to pay back anyone who wants to be reimbursed over time—just let me know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you’re able to offer. It means more than I can say.
