Diagnosed with cancer years ago, he has been maintaining his life and even experienced a remission, allowing him to do a lot of what he loves. Recently, he was told his illness has reoccurred, and it has taken a toll on his body. The price of all his procedures has doubled along with his medication and doctor visit costs. He struggles hourly with pain from lesions on his hips and cannot sit for very long; therefore, he is in constant pain. His medication makes him nauseous, so he isn't eating and is stuck in a cycle alone in his apartment.
