If you know my husband, Jason Kyle Webb, you know that he is soft-spoken and self-reliant. Jason rarely, if ever, asks for anything , but now he needs your help.

I am Jennifer Webb. Jason, my husband, age 56, is originally from Jersey City. We have been happily married in Capitola, California for 16 years. Throughout our 22 years living in this small village by the sea, I have had numerous people tell me that he is their favorite person on this planet, and of course I have told him this many, many times. We do not have children; Jason is the single most important person in my life.
Jason’s Story
In August of this year, doctors found a significant tumor in his bladder. On September 3rd, he underwent a TURBT surgery to remove and biopsy the tumor. A few days later, on September 5th, the results came back: the cancer had spread into the muscle.
The next steps are tough but clear: He will need extensive chemotherapy and a radical cystectomy (removal of the bladder). He’ll be living with an ileal conduit, which means lifelong stoma care, appliance changes, and supplies. It’s a lot to take in — definitely a tough pill to swallow — but this is a fight that he and I know we can win.
Why We Need Your Help
Cancer doesn’t just hit your health, it hits every part of your life. Here’s what we’re facing:
3 months of Chemo-immunotherapy.
Major surgery and an extended hospital stay at UCSF Medical Center (7–10 days inpatient).
6–12 weeks of recovery time, with at least 10–12 months before he can return to work.
6 extra months of Immunotherapy.
Ongoing medical supplies, follow-up visits, and the rising costs of health insurance due to certain federal assistance programs fading out..
Loss of income during his recovery
I may need to take time off work to be by his side.
Our health insurance cost is expected to increase
Our rent increases every year.
Even with health insurance and disability, the costs are substantial. We are seeking to raise $70,000 to help cover medical bills, supplies, lost income, and living expenses during this journey.
How You Can Help
Jason is facing this battle the way he faces most things — with humor, grit, and a little Jersey City attitude. He is incredibly brave, and his happy spirit will pull him through this. If you know him, you know he’ll keep making faces and finding laughter wherever he can.
But the truth is: we cannot do this alone. Anything helps — whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this fundraiser with your community. Every donation and every share gives us strength and breathing room so my husband can focus on healing and so that I can help him win this fight. Throughout his life, Jason has lifted everyone around him; now it is time for us to lift him.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us.
