My name is Gabbie, and I am fundraising on behalf of my dad, Jason Waltz. My dad is currently in the ICU after developing a severe abscess and infection in his spine that has left him paralyzed. This sudden, life-altering illness has turned our world upside down. His team of doctors is doing everything they can, but the road ahead will be long and uncertain.

Anyone who knows my dad knows what a hardworking, selfless, and devoted family man he is. His greatest joy in life is spending time with family. My dad has always been the kind of person that puts the needs of others before his own. Seeing him unable to work or do the things that he loves has been incredibly difficult for our family.

As he begins this unexpected journey towards recovery, he will require extensive medical care as well as a long inpatient rehabilitation stay once he is released from the hospital. These costs are overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to support him through this fight.
