Help Jason Trodden Battle Rare Lung Disease
Donation protected
My nephew, Jason Trodden, was admitted to the Edson Hospital on November 13, 2022, as he was having trouble breathing. After numerous tests at the Edson, Hinton, and University of Alberta Hospitals, he was then transferred to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Edmonton, for a 2nd lung biopsy. He was able to go home for a few days to rest with wife, Rebecca, and his 4 children, ages 6-13 years old, unfortunately he had to be readmitted back into the Edson hospital.
On December 5, 2022, he received the results from his 2nd lung biopsy and was told that he has a rare lung disease, called Organizing Pneumonia (otherwise known as Interstitial Lung Disease). It will be a long road to recovery, and he could be off work for some time. He remains in the Edson Hospital, where they have started his treatment plan.
Before starting a new job at the beginning of November 2022, Jason was a self-employed, full-time contractor. He also helped his wife run Little Gem Farms, which grows and sells fresh organic produce to their local community of Edson and surrounding areas. Jason had only worked 8 days at his new job before being admitted to the Edson Hospital on November 13, 2022. He now has no income or any benefits! After reading the fine print, the insurance he had does not cover this type of illness.
We understand that most of us are going through tough times right now, and we hope you find it in your heart to donate. Everyone’s contribution will help Jason focus on healing and not worry about how he’s going to pay for medical bills and treatment not covered by our medical system. It will also help him provide for his wife and 4 children. Please share this fundraising campaign with your family and friends. We appreciate any donations and support you can offer.
