Hey Everyone!!

Jason here. For those of you who know me intimately, you know that I have done MANY fundraisers over the years for first responders and friends. They have always been successful due to all of your generosity. I have never had the need to ask for anything for myself, but unfortunately, that has changed. This time I AM asking for myself.

I am currently in a treatment facility in Texas for my Complex PTSD symptoms and a unique opportunity has come up that may very well save my life! Some of you know that I have struggled lately with my Anxiety and PTSD symptoms and did spend some time in the hospital for Suicidal Ideations toward the end of last year. While researching the costs of acquiring a Certified Service Dog, I was astonished to find that the upfront costs average between $15,000 and $35,000!!! WOW, what a sticker shock!

The facility I am currently being treated at has a K9 program of which I am a part. I am actively participating in the training and handling of Certified Service Dogs in training. This program has an opportunity for me to acquire the dog I am assisting in training at a substantial discount as this facility only treats First Responders and active military personnel that are struggling with CPTSD, Anxiety, Depression, etc. This is only a fraction of the cost of a service animal from any other source and the great thing is that I have been involved in his training and he's already bonded with me. The funds raised will cover the cost of adopting the service dog I've been working with and the necessary equipment including a crate, bark collar, service vests, leash, food, and vet bills. This dog will fly home with me, God willing, with your support, and he will be trained to recognize MY specific symptoms and react accordingly. Time is of the essence as this offer is only good while I am here.

Friends, I have never asked for anything like this before and it's taken me a LOT just to type this out knowing that I'm relying on YOU to make this happen for me. This dog may very well have prevented my hospitalization had he been with me last Thanksgiving when I was hospitalized for suicidal ideations.
