My name is Jason, and I’m facing a life-changing challenge. I have an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) that has grown to 5 cm, which means I now need open heart surgery. Along with this, I’ll be undergoing a heart catheterization and bypass surgery. The recovery process is expected to take about 8 months, during which I won’t be able to work or provide financially for my family.

This situation is overwhelming, not just because of the surgery itself, but because I’m worried about how I’ll keep my home, my car, and provide for my loved ones. My partner and I are raising our two grandchildren, and while she will do her best to cover food and daily necessities, I need help to make sure our rent, car payments, and utilities are taken care of during my recovery.

I’ve never done anything like this before, but I’m reaching out because I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for.
