Help Jason "Bam Bam" Parsley Beat Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
In the spring of 2023, our lives changed. For the first time I could remember my big brother, Jason Parsley, complained of not feeling well and went to the doctor. After some testing, we were told that he had pancreatic cancer. We were happy that he was a candidate for the Whipple procedure. This major surgery was a success, and soon after, he began aggressive chemotherapy for months. He had a complication that resulted in another surgery, but he was soon on the road to recovery. In anticipation of having his chest port removed, the doctors ordered more tests.
These tests left him with the diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had metastasized. Given this terminal diagnosis, he began a new chemotherapy regimen indefinitely. After much personal research, he added in many holistic treatments. Most of the alternative treatments are not covered by insurance and have added up quickly.
We are very encouraged by the lab results following the many treatments he has endured each week. This has been an exhausting process over the last several months, but we are hopeful. Later this week, we are praying that the new scans give us the results we have been working towards and praying for. Jason has a meeting planned with the Genome Clinic to explore other potential treatments available, including clinical trials.
For those of you that know Jason, you know that he is the definition of strong. He is a fighter and the fixer in our family. When he was given 12 months at best 3.5 months ago, I knew that if anyone could beat this, it is him! I would give anything to help alleviate the physical pain, the mental exhaustion, and take this cancer away from him. In addition to prayer, the one thing I can do is help lessen the financial burden. Please join me in prayer and by donation if you are able.
