Help Jason & Jamie through Medical Expenses

About 6 weeks ago Jason had an injury at work and was off trying to heal. The pain in his back was increasing over time. 2 weeks ago Jamie found Jason unconscious and talking delirious.  She called 911 and an ambulance took him to the hospital. He was admitted on Thursday 5/13/21. Through many tests, ups and downs, it has been determined that he has in infection in his bone between the 10th & 11th vertebra.  He has also had an infection in his blood. Jason also has been battling them managing his blood sugars through all of the antibiotics, NG tube(feeding tube). He has had multiple CT Scans and MRI scans. He has received 2 units of blood. It has now been discovered there are more infection pockets around his spine.

Currently Jason is Immobile. He did manage to stand for about 2 seconds through therapy on Tuesday. He is in an extreme amount of pain, and the infection keeps his Intellect on a roller coaster.  He can finally drink water and eat soft foods.

The treatment plan will be a long road to recovery. Jamie has been by his side most every moment with brief absences to go home and shower every few days.  Jamie has not been able to work as Jason needs an advocate for most everything as he is easily confused and not able to ask or tell what is going on most of the time. One of the biggest goals is to get Jason healthy enough to be able to walk and use his hands to be able to be released to Physical therapy to gain full bodily function. Jason often says he wishes he could go home to nap for a few hours and then come back to get healthy :) We all wish that he could come home too, but he is very sick.

Jason & Jamie would give the shirts off their back to anyone and right now I think it would be appropriate if we could return the favor to them. Jamie has had pinch hitters take over and go to her job and work for her.  They have also had Family helping out with all of the household animals and chores to keep up on at home.

There is no telling how long this process will be, or how much it will cost. People have asked what they can do to help. Right now I think this would be the best way we could help them out and they can pay for additional medical costs, and household expenses.

Once they get home and Jamie can get back to work, I am sure a meal train would be helpful, but for now Please consider helping them out.
