Hi, I’m Jason, a single dad to amazing seven-year-old twin boys. I was diagnosed in June 2025 with a form of Stage 3 cancer. Since then, I’ve had two operations, including a neck dissection (yes, that does sound like one of the countless dodgy heavy metal bands I've written about over the last 35 years) and 30 blasts of radiotherapy.

I've been in remission since January 2026, for which I'm very grateful.

So... why is this GoFundMe campaign still active?

During treatment, I took on personal loans to help cover the cost of radiotherapy and related expenses. While I'm now cancer-free, I'm still dealing with the financial aftermath and rebuilding my working life after a year dominated by treatment and recovery.

Any donations will help me repay those loans and get back onto stable ground financially.

Any amount, no matter how small, will genuinely make a difference, but please don't feel under any obligation. The support, messages and kindness I've received over the last year have already meant a great deal to me.

P.S. Let me share the Number One reason I needed to survive this cancer. My six year olds have set up an Alexa reminder that will go off in 20 years and grandly announce, "It's time for Daddy to poop his pants." Clearly I need to be here, so as not to let them down...
