Help Jason get through cancer

Hello you,

I really didn’t want to set up this appeal.

Quite honestly, after 35 years of self-employed independence, asking for help is bringing me out in a cold sweat.

But two surgeries in, with radiotherapy looming, I do need to ask.

In early June, I was diagnosed with a form of head and neck cancer that can affect speech, eating and everyday communication. I’ve already had two operations to remove the tumour - including a Neck Dissection (yeah, sounds like a dodgy heavy metal band, right?)

As I write this, I want to be ready for whatever comes next.

To give myself the best chance of long-term survival, I’m very likely to need radiotherapy - and it will take a toll. Physically, emotionally and financially. But I'm looking into being treated by one of the world's leading experts.

This guy's approach would give me the best possible shot at preserving long-term quality of life - speech, eating, everyday function, all that good stuff - and help me avoid unnecessary damage. Maybe avoid recurrence too.

I’m a single dad to twin boys who mean everything to me. I want to stay strong and present for them - to keep life as steady and normal as possible while going through something that feels anything but.

His help won't come cheap if I have to go private. That’s why I’m going against my own grain to ask for support.

The target amount may shift as treatment plans evolve and I get a clearer picture of what’s needed - including the possibility of more surgery down the line.

Because I’m currently all but unable to work due to stress, I want to:

✅ make sure I can continue to pay the rent this year

✅ be ready for any fast and potentially expensive moves I need to make to fight this cancer

✅ stay as close as possible to my children, who don't always live with me, or even in the same city

Any help you can comfortably manage, big or small, would mean the world.
