My name is Jamie Walterman and I am doing this page on behalf of my older brother Jason DeForest. Jason was diagnosed with Stage 4 Malignant Metastatic Seminoma during the week of Thanksgiving 2025- a time when most families are focused on gratitude and togetherness. Our family's world shifted overnight.

Since his diagnosis, Jason has shown incredible strength and determination. He has completed his first round of chemotherapy, with four total rounds planned as part of his treatment. The physical and emotional toll of cancer treatment is immense, but Jason continues to face it with courage and quiet resilience.

Alongside the fight for his health, Jason and his family are now facing another heavy burden: financial uncertainty. He is currently struggling to receive assistance through California state disability, and the process has been slow and more difficult to navigate than expected. Medical appointments ,treatments ,medications, and everyday living expenses have continued to pile up while he works through these hurdles.

We are asking for support to help ease this financial stress so Jason can focus on what truly matters right now- HEALING AND SURVIVAL.
