Help Jason Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer & Make It to Disability
Hi, my name is Alisha Smith, and I’m raising funds for my brother Jason, who has been bravely battling Stage 4 colon cancer since the beginning of this year. The cancer has spread to his liver, and while his doctors have given him a terminal diagnosis, treatments could give him 2–3 more precious years — more time with his fiancée Gina, his daughter Alina, and our entire family.
Until now, Jason’s been able to work and when he couldn't, his job had been helping cover some of his medical leave. But that support is ending, and he won’t begin receiving disability benefits until January 3, 2026. That means there’s a critical gap in support during one of the most difficult times and battles of his life.
Jason is unable to work due to the toll the cancer and treatments have taken on his body. But the bills don’t stop — and we’re asking for help to cover his basic living expenses until his disability kicks in.
What Your Donation Will Help Cover:
We’re hoping to raise $15,000 to cover:
• Rent
• Utilities
• Gas for frequent doctor visits and treatments
• Groceries
This amount will carry Jason through to January, giving him the stability he needs to continue treatment without the stress of wondering how to survive in the meantime. Any extra will help cover medical co-pays or urgent needs that arise.
Every donation—big or small—helps Jason stay in his home, get to his treatments, and spend as much quality time as possible with Gina, Alina, and those who love him.
