Help Jason and Zebbi Recover from Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My name is Marnie Cranmer, I live in Asheville, NC, and I am a good friend of the family for which I am creating this. These are great people who would never ask for help, so I hope you consider the following.
On Friday, Sept 27th, Hurricane Helene hit Hendersonville, NC, leaving nothing but devastation in its path. In the wake of the storm, many lives, homes, and belongings were lost. With winds up to 75 MPH, barely anything within miles could withstand its strength. The hundred-year-old oaks and hundred-foot pines lining the Samplers neighborhood were not able to compete with its force.
Jason and Zebbi stood on their front porch early Friday morning and witnessed their entire lives flash before their eyes. Two massive trees caused catastrophic damage to their home, demolishing Farris’ (their youngest child) room and tearing the house apart at its seams. While they managed to get out safely with all of their lives and pets, riding the storm out in the only vehicle not blocked in by trees, their home did not. It will have to be replaced.
They are currently staying with the Baynards, safe and sound, and are patiently awaiting the next step of the process. It is difficult to ask for anything when so many are grieving, but just know anything you give will be used for the purpose of putting their lives back together. In the event of a surplus of funds, those will be used for the people of Henderson County by putting boots on the ground and needed items in hands.
God Bless 828. Stay strong, stay safe, stay kind. ❤️
