This is my son Jason Weidman and his beautiful wife Carly. Jason had a stroke 10 months ago. He has been "thrown to the wolves" by our medical system. He suffered from un diagnosed diabetes for years, once determined, could not afford the $300 plus for monthly cost of insulin. He was in the building/roofing trade (heights, scaffolding) but no one would hire him because of the liability. He took on private jobs to make ends meet, therefore no reported income. Now the system has denied him any disability or Medicaid because of his work record. No help for his family, no assistance. How can this happen? If anyone knows how to circumvent this corrupt system, please let me know. I am his loving mother.
Hopefully, Karen Lesniak
Donations will help to pay for home care for Jason while Carly is working at the Reading Hospital. He must have 24 hour assistance. Also, transportation expenses for Carly to get to work, grocery shopping and errands. They do not have a car anymore. Thank you, thank you for taking time to read and consider.
You may remember that second photo of Jason on stage. I was so proud of him....doing what he loved!
