My name is Anastashia Carrasquillo, and I am raising funds on behalf of my 14-year-old sister, Jasmine Ramirez, who is currently under the care of our mother, Verenice Sanmiguel, and the support of our entire family.
Jasmine has been battling a rare lymphatic tumor and overgrowth syndrome. Recently, she faced a life-threatening illness related to her condition that changed her life forever. After a long and difficult medical journey, she thankfully recovered, but the illness resulted in the amputation of her left leg. As she continues to heal and adapt to these life-changing circumstances, she requires ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation, and specialized care.
Jasmine receives care through appointments in our local area and throughout Florida, including Tampa, Bradenton, and St. Petersburg, as well as at Shriners Children’s in South Carolina and Texas Children’s Hospital in Texas. Many of these appointments require extensive travel, including gas, lodging, meals, and occasional airfare.
While insurance helps cover some aspects of Jasmine’s care, many travel-related expenses and other costs are not covered. Funds raised will help our family cover transportation, food, household bills, medical expenses, rehabilitation needs, and other costs associated with Jasmine’s recovery and ongoing treatment.
As Jasmine continues her journey toward healing and rebuilding her independence, our family is doing everything we can to support her and ensure she receives the care she needs. Any donation or share of this fundraiser will help ease the financial burden on our family and allow us to focus on Jasmine’s health, recovery, and future.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this challenging time.
