Hi, my name is Jasmine, and I’m a mother of two beautiful children—an 11-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask for help like this, but right now, I’m facing losing our home. For several years, I stepped away from work to care for my children’s father when he became seriously ill. During that time, he reassured me that he would take care of our rent so I could focus on keeping him stable and caring for our family. I kept that promise to him, but sadly, after his unexpected passing, everything changed. As the only parent now, I’ve been trying to rebuild and catch up, but I’ve fallen behind on rent to a point that feels impossible to recover from alone. We are now facing eviction, with a scheduled lockout on May 18, unless I can come up with the funds to keep our home. This isn’t just about me—this is about my children. My daughter is at a critical age where stability means everything. My son, who is on the spectrum, struggles deeply with change and relies on routine and familiarity to feel safe. This home is not just a place to live—it’s the environment they know, their school, their friends, and their sense of security. I have reached out to local programs, charities, and state assistance, but unfortunately, I’ve either been placed on waiting lists or told there is no funding available at this time. I am doing everything I can, but I cannot do this part alone. I’ve been a GoFundMe supporter and never thought I’d need the support myself, but I am most gracious and humble for any and all help or shares. If you are able to give anything, no matter how small, it would mean more than I could ever express. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this with others would be an incredible help. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any kindness you can extend to my family during this time. With gratitude, Jasmine
