Help Jasmine's Family During Yasmin's Surgery

Hi!

We are raising money to help with the expenses while I am taking care of my daughter after her open-heart surgery!

My name is Jasmine Wesley. I am a mom of 4. My oldest is 8 then I have a 7-year-old, 4-year-old, and a 1-year-old. I work at a local daycare where my youngest attends.

My youngest daughter Yasmin was born with a hole in her heart, and they were monitoring it throughout the first year of her life. On June 5th we found out that Yasmin has a condition called VSD. VSD stands for Ventricular Septal Defects which means there is a hole between the right and left pumping chambers of the heart that is not closing on its own. Which now she will have to have open heart surgery August 7th. This is a similar condition that we have been through as a family with my oldest daughter whose was corrected also at a young age.

Within the first year of Yasmin’s life, she has struggled gaining weight, has had a difficult time breathing and caused her immune system to be compromised. Yasmin has missed many days of school because of being sick. However, this has not stopped her she loves swimming, playing with her siblings, and being outdoors. She is the happiest baby of them all.

It has been a very challenging year for me and my family as this is not news that any family wants to hear. Late last year I was also in a car accident totaling my car and leaving my family with only one mode of transportation. We have made it work with Ubers, taxis and through generous friends but we are in need of some extra support during this time.

During this time, we are asking for any and all donations to be made regarding this surgery. I will have to be out of work for 6-8 weeks and since I have not been at my current job for more than 1 year, I do not receive paid FMLA. I have used most of my vacation time due to the times that Yasmin has been sick, and I have had to miss work. I will still need to pay my rent, utilities, transportation and provide food for my family and school supplies. If you have the means to donate it would mean the world to me and my family.
