Hi, if you don’t know me, my name’s Jasmine. For many years now, I’ve adored Jeep Wrangler’s. As a 16th birthday gift, my parents so graciously were able to get me one. Again, if you don’t know me, I’ll tell you this: I didn’t ask them to get me a jeep, I usually don’t ask for a lot from anybody. I’m very independent when it comes to my needs and wants. But they knew it was a vehicle I would love and forever be thankful, and grateful for, so they made it happen. My family has been through a lot: physically, mentally, emotionally, the whole nine yards. Little did I know, the financial aspect of getting this jeep was going to be tough. They’re already such a high demand/ pricey vehicle, but my parents were also set up with a finance company that I’ve researched and learned first hand, that isn’t very great. There is a 25% interest rate on a $25000 used vehicle. In April of 2024, I finally got myself a stable job that paid enough for me to afford it so I personally took over payments. Those payments are $705.66 a month. Add on the interest, and I’m only getting 300-400 dollars principal paid monthly. I’m now 20, at the same job, making payments of $720 to try and get ahead a little at a time without breaking the bank. I’m also working on trying to get my own place, whether I rent for a while or can find a way to buy. This is where it gets difficult, I only bring home about $2,000-$2,300 a month, so when you factor in the car payment, gas, food, household essentials, clothes as needed, feminine/hygiene products, etc., money disappears quick. That being said, as of today (8/29/25), I still owe $16,924 just to the principal amount, so not counting interest. I suppose I’m just making this to have it available in case anyone is feeling generous or is able to assist me in paying it off, or atleast getting it down some for a possible refinance. Again, I’m 20 years old, trying to get my life started, and the economy we live in just isn’t allowing me to. I know we’re all struggling and this isn’t the most important thing to take care of, but it’s highly important to me. Thank you in advance if you are able to help!
