Help Jasmine Overcome Severe Food Allergies
Donation protected
For those of you who know our family, you know that Jasmine, our ten-year-old, has severe food allergies. A few months ago, we brought her to an allergist to see if she had outgrown any of them because she is getting older, but unfortunately, she has not. They appear to have possibly gotten worse. She is allergic to eggs, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, and coconut.
It has been a long journey for our family but also one that has made us grow close through trials. We also have a different approach to our daily life than most due to constant allergen awareness. Food is a BIG part of everyone’s day-to-day lives, and it is unfortunately starting to take a toll on my sweet girl's heart.
Our allergist recommended we take her to the allergy institute in San Diego, California, so Jasmine can live without fearing death from food. Our insurance just informed us they will cover nothing. I do, however, have a free place to stay during treatment, which is a huge blessing, but we still need to raise money for the program itself. Besides the costs of flights to travel 6-8 times per year, it would be $1,000 monthly for the next 3-4 years for her to complete the program.
I hesitated posting this because I don’t like asking for donations, but unfortunately, I have not been able to come up with the extra finances and am feeling pressure to bring her sooner than later due to a recent reaction that affected her breathing. If you feel led to donate to this cause, we greatly appreciate any help.
