Help Jasmine Get the Care She Needs Again

Donation protected
Last year, you all helped me afford to get my beautiful baby girl cat Jasmine the medical care she needed for a health scare. Everything seemed to be okay with Jasmine, and I was so extremely relieved.

Unfortunately, the relief was fleeting. As it turns out, the problem was not over. The mysterious lump that appeared on Jasmine’s lower jaw has returned, this time larger in size.

The doctor who treated her last year told me she was perplexed as the results from Jasmine’s biopsy last year were negative, so the fact that the mass has returned is concerning. This time, Jasmine required another biopsy and more bone removal from her lower jaw.

No teeth were taken out this time because the doctor wants to see the results of the biopsy before proceeding further. She did say that she suspects it’s benign like last year, as she said an active cancer would have caused the lump in her jaw to grow much faster than an entire year. But obviously, she wants to wait for the results to determine what to do next.

Even if it is benign, there will still be some hard decisions to be made. Jasmine is 14 years old, and even being benign, if it keeps on growing, they may have to remove more bone, even potentially having to lose half her lower jaw. This obviously can make the remaining years for a cat very uncomfortable and hard to eat. I really hope it doesn’t come down to that.

As it currently stands, I still have to pay quite a bit for the tests and removal of bone from her jaw. It’s not quite as much as last year’s total… just yet. It may grow depending on the result, but I do need help with the amount that I’ve already paid and potential additional costs.

I have pictures of the costs, and it was actually less than originally estimated (due to no teeth being removed). Any amount you can contribute would be absolutely appreciated, and I’m forever grateful and feel so lucky to have a reach that allows me to garner so much support. I hate that I have to do this two years in a row, but I love my Jasmine so much (and Nathan too!) and want to do everything I can to make her remaining years as happy as possible. ❤️

So: $1552.75 + $3513.40 = $5,066.15

I’ve added a tiny bit to the total goal to cover GoFundMe’s 3% cut.

Currently, Jasmine is at home and I have been giving her pain medication every day. She is very attached to me and has been sleeping on me every chance she gets. She’s been drooling a lot sadly, and I will spare you any photos of my unfortunate shirts that are getting drenched in cat saliva. Unfortunately, her appetite is very low and it’s been hard getting her to eat a good amount of food, so she is looking a little thin. Hopefully, she gains her appetite back soon.

Again, I am eternally grateful for everyone who helps, no matter how much is donated. I love you all!
